Compaq Offers Free Training and Testing for Linux ASE Cert
8/1/2001 -- Compaq recently announced that it is offering free training and testing for its new ProLiant/Linux ASE certification.
Through Dec. 31, 2001, those who register for the program through Compaq's Web site will receive free vouchers for one five-day and one two-day training course, and three free vouchers for passing the title's three exams (existing ASEs receive one testing voucher).
In order to sit for the ProLiant/Linux ASE exams, candidates must meet the title's prerequisites, which include holding either RedHat's RHCE certification or Sair-GNU's LCE certification.
The first 100 people to obtain the certification will receive an iPAQ PocketPC. Also, anyone certified as a ProLiant./Linux ASE before Aug. 31 will receive free registration for Compaq's 2001 Enterprise Technology Symposium to be held Sept. 9 through 14 in Anaheim, Calif.
