Linux+ Beta Starts June 22
6/12/2001 -- CompTIA recently announced a beta exam for its new Linux+ certification.
The beta will be available worldwide from June 22 through July 20 at Prometric and Vue testing centers for $90 (U.S.). According to CompTIA, the beta exam consists of 145 questions, for which candidates will have 2 hours, 30 minutes to complete. Those who pass will become Linux+ certified.
Linux+ is a one-exam, entry-level Linux certification from CompTIA, an organization known for its vendor-neutral IT certifications, such as A+ and Network+. The final version of the Linux+ exam is expected to debut in October.
