IBM Beefs Up Hardware Certs
3/28/2007 -- IBM recently added a number of new certifications to its line of "System" certifications, including System i, System p and System x.
Since the beginning of the year, the company has added more than a dozen new hardware certifications, most of which debuted this month. The additions include:
- Five new certifications for its System p series of titles. The System p track of certifications debuted last year (replacing AIX).
- Three new System i certifications (and retired several eServer certifications).
- Two new System x certifications for IT administration.
- Two new System z certifications; one for IT support, one for sales.
All of these new IBM exams are now available at Prometric and Pearson Vue testing centers worldwide. Optional training is available.
