Microsoft Extends Exam Discounts for Partners
3/21/2007 -- Microsoft recently expanded the exam discounts it offered under a program introduced last year for its partners' employees, with fee reductions on exams that cover Windows Vista, Exchange 2007 and technologies related to 2007 Office System.
Phase II of the program, dubbed Partner Skills Plus, officially runs from January to June of this year. The first phase debuted in October last year, with offerings for SQL Server 2005, Visual Studio 2005 and some Microsoft Dynamics exams. Similar to the discounts offered during the first phase, Microsoft partners can apply for tiered levels of discounts:
- Registered members: 25 percent off vouchers, with a maximum of five discounts per registered member
- Certified Partners: 25 percent off, at a max of 25 vouchers
- Gold Certified Partners: 30 percent off, at a max of 100 vouchers
Vouchers can be requested up until up until June 30, 2007 and should be redeemed before the Nov. 30 expiration date. Other discounts cannot be applied, such as Exam Insurance. The vouchers program expansion applies to the following exams, some of which have yet to head into beta testing:
