EMC Program Hits 10,000, Launches Storage Technologist Cert
8/9/2006 -- EMC recently announced that its Proven Professional certification program has passed the 10,000 mark.
EMC offers a number of certifications for storage professionals focusing on both job role and technology. The company did not provide a breakdown of the number by title or geographic region.
The company also announced that it has launched a new certification, the EMC Storage Technologist (EMCST). This title focuses on storage concepts and design.
According to the company Web site, candidates must pass one exam to earn the Associate level of this title and three to earn the Specialist level. Training appears to be optional.
The Associate-level exam, Storage Technology Foundations (E20-001), is now live. The two higher-level exams will launch in "late 2006," the company said.
