Prosoft Launches New Master CIW Track
5/3/2001 -- ProsoftTraining.com announced yesterday that it is adding a new Web Site Manager Master track to its Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) certification program.
According to Prosoft, the Master CIW Web Site Manager track represents the first CIW certification focused on multi-function competency. It is targeted toward those who manage Web sites for small- to medium-sized organizations in Unix, Linux and NT environments.
"The new Master CIW Web Site Manager is a logical addition to our current certifications. It utilizes already existing courses and tests but reflects job roles that have cross-functional requirements much like the traditional Webmaster of the 1990s," Julie Rowe, Prosoft's vice president of products and programs, said in a printed statement. "Even though in many companies there are entire departments devoted to each Web function, the Master CIW Web Site Manager recognizes that companies still need individuals who can perform all the tasks required to manage a single Web site."
The new title is achieved by passing the following combination of existing CIW exams: CIW Foundations, CIW Site Designer, CIW Web Languages and CIW Server Administrator.
