CompTIA RFID+ Launching March 28
3/8/2006 -- The Computing Technology Industry Association recently announced that its new certification covering radio frequency identification (RFID) technology will go live March 28.
Registration is currently open for the upcoming RFID+ exam (#RF0-001) at Pearson Vue and Prometric testing centers worldwide. When live, the exam will cost $237 (U.S.).
The title has been in the planning stages since 2004, when CompTIA first announced it was looking to create an RFID-related certification.
The exam launched in beta format in October 2005. According to CompTIA, participants in this beta will receive their results in April.
Like other CompTIA exams, the RFID exam will feature multiple-choice and other standard-format questions -- and, once passed, the candidate earns the credential for life. Detailed objectives are available from the organization's Web site here.
