New Network+ Exam Now Live
5/10/2005 -- The latest version of the Computing Technology Industry Association's (CompTIA's) Network+ exam is now live and available at Pearson Vue and Prometric testing centers worldwide.
The new version, N10-003, is the second update of the organization's entry-level, vendor-neutral networking technologies exam, originally released in 1999. It contains 85 questions, has a 90 minute time limit and requires a minimum score of 554 on a scale of 100 to 900 to earn the title.
A comparison of the objectives of the new exam and the previous version, N10-002, are available on CompTIA's Web site here. N10-002 will be retired on June 30, the organization said.
According to CompTIA, more than 150,000 people are Network+ certified worldwide. The update will not affect those already holding the title, as CompTIA certifications do not expire.
