Oracle OCP 10g Beta Exam To Debut in November
10/13/2004 -- Oracle recently announced on its Web site that it will launch a beta version of its Oracle Certified Professional, Database Administrator (OCP DBA) 10g exam on Nov. 1.
The exam is the second of a new two-exam track Oracle announced for its OCP DBA program in June. The first 10g exam required to earn the title, the Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) exam, debuted in beta form in July.
The OCP beta (#1Z1-043) will be available from Nov. 1 through Jan. 15, 2005, at the discounted price of $50 at Prometric testing centers worldwide. Oracle beta exams typically last around three hours and contain hundreds of questions.
Those who pass the exam will be given credit toward certifications. As with the 9i track, Oracle requires all OCP candidates to attend an approved instructor-led or online training course to complete the credential.
