Citrix Launches New CCA Exam

9/22/2004 -- The latest version of the Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) exam -- Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server 3.0: Enterprise Edition Administration (#223) -- is now live and available at testing centers worldwide.

Citrix announced the beta of this update in June. As reported then, its release marked the third time in just over one year that the company has released a new CCA exam.

To earn a CCA, candidates must pass this exam as well as take an e-learning class from the company and pass an online assessment. The e-learning requirement was added in May. The exam also counts toward the company's mid-level Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator (CCEA) credential as well as its new high-level Citrix Certified Internet Architect (CCIA) title.

The previous version of the exam, #222, is still available at testing centers. A retirement date has yet to be set, according to the official exam schedule on Citrix's Web site.
