8/18/2004 -- Last week IBM announced a new Tivoli certification: IBM Certified Deployment Professional, Tivoli Provising Manager with Orchestration 2.1.

The title's one exam, #766, went live at Pearson Vue and Prometric testing centers Aug. 13. Some of the areas tested on this exam include:

• Understanding the IBM Tivoli Provisioning Manager with Orchestration V2.1 architecture and components.
• Designing IBM Tivoli Provisioning Manager with Orchestration V2.1 provisioning solution based on customer requirements/environment.
• Mapping customer’s IT infrastructure to the Data Center Model.
• Installing and configuring prerequisites to IBM Tivoli Provisioning Manager/IBM Tivoli Intelligent ThinkDynamic Orchestrator.

This title joins another recent Tivoli cert -- IBM Certified Deployment Professional, Tivoli Monitoring for Transaction Performance 5.2 -- which launched last month. To earn this title, candidates must pass exam #798.
