Cisco Updates Content Networking Specialty
7/21/2004 -- This week Cisco Systems announced a "significant" update to its Cisco Qualified Specialist: Content Networking title.
According to a company representative, the certification now covers several new technologies, including Cisco CSS 11500 and Cisco Catalyst 6500 CSM, CLI and initial configuration, load balancing, VIP and interface redundancy, adaptive session redundancy, SSL modules and ACNS.
A new Content Networking exam, 642-342 CN, is now live and available worldwide at Pearson Vue and Prometric testing centers. Objectives can be found here. The previous exam, 9E0-600, is scheduled to retire Oct. 20.
Candidates must hold a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Professional (CCIP) title before pursuing this specialty.
