6/30/2004 -- Citrix Systems is currently updating the exam for its Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) title -- the third such update in less than 12 months.

The new exam, #223, will focus on MetaFrame Presentation Server 3.0: Enterprise Edition. When live, it appears it will replace the current exam, #222, launched in November to cover MetaFrame XP Feature Release 3. This exam had replaced #221, which debuted last summer to cover MetaFrame XP sans the feature releases.

While a live date for #223 has yet to be announced, Citrix is currently offering a free beta version of the exam. Candidates who pass this beta will receive credit toward certification, the company said.

Optional training for this exam is now live.
