HP Seeks Candidates for Storage Beta Exams
6/16/2004 -- Hewlett Packard recently announced on its Web site that it's seeking IT professionals to participate in two free storage-related beta exams.
The betas are:
- HP1-237: Supporting the MSL5000/6000 & Stand Alone Tape Devices
- HP1-242: Supporting the ESL9000
The first exam applies to a new Accredited Platform Specialist (APS) credential for partners. The second exam will be a requirement for the company's ASE: StorageWorks Nearline title. Both betas are available worldwide. Each lasts approximately four hours.
According to HP, the company is looking for storage professionals with experience supporting the MSL5000/6000 or ESL9000 libraries to take one or both exams. Programs often need a certain number of beta participants to vet all exam items and ensure that the tests are psychometrically valid.
