10/1/2003 -- IBM is offering free vouchers for its IBM WebSphere Commerce Business Edition V5.5, Implementation exam (#213) to the first 100 candidates who pass a free, online assessment.

The exam is an upgrade of IBM WebSphere Commerce, Business Edition V5.4, Implementation (#211), which will retire Nov. 30. Passing the new exam earns candidates the title of IBM Certified Deployment Professional.

The assessment opens Oct. 7. The vouchers are good through the end of the year.

IBM also announced that it is retiring IBM WebSphere Commerce, Business Edition, V5.4 Customization (#212) on Nov. 30. A replacement exam is not being planned.
