2/12/2003 -- Sun Microsystems recently announced a beta exam for its upcoming Solaris security title.

As previously reported on CertCities.com, Sun plans to release a security-specific Solaris title sometime in the first-half of 2003. The company currently offers two Solaris certifications for systems and network administrators.

The free beta will be held from Feb. 15 through March 8. Qualified candidates can apply for the exam through Sun's Web site, here. Those who pass the beta will earn credit toward certification, Sun said.
