Free, Discounted Certs at LinuxWorld Expo
7/24/2002 -- If you're looking for Linux certification on-the-cheap, next month's LinuxWorld Expo & Conference seems to be the hot spot.
At the conference, being held in San Francisco August 13 through 15, The Linux Professional Institute will be offering its 101 exam free to registered attendees. The exam is the first of two required for LPI's Level I Linux certification.
If you're more interested in an entry-level title, the Computing Technology Industry Association will be offering its Linux+ exam for 25 percent off the normal price of $199. CompTIA is also giving away free passes to the expo portion of the conference.
More information about the free LPI testing can be found here. To apply for the discounted Linux+ exam and receive the free expo pass, click here. - B.N.
