11/28/2001 -- The Computer Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) announced on its Web site this week that the updated version of its Network+ exam will go live Jan. 31, 2002. The new exam will replace the current version, which will retire in March 14.

Those certified on the current version of Network+ remain certified for life and do not need to upgrade when the new version comes out.
