New MS .NET Exam Now Available, More Coming This Month
4/12/2006 -- The Microsoft Learning Group is expected to launch a handful of new-generation exams during April and has already released Exam 70-529 TS: .NET Framework 2.0-Distributed Application Development last Friday, April 7.
The exam is one of two that are required to satisfy the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist: .NET Framework 2.0 Distributed Applications title. (One other exam, 70-536 TS: .NET Framework 2.0-Application Development Foundation, has been available since March 1.)
Exam 70-529 is also among several exams that make up the Microsoft Certified Professional Developer: Enterprise Applications Developer certification (the complete list for the MCPD: Enterprise Applications Developer can be found here.
The exam objective guide for 70-529 states that those holding MCAD or MCSD for .NET can bypass this exam and the other requirements for the MCPD by taking two upgrade exams that are expected to be released around May.
In other news, Microsoft has also released Exam 70-431 TS: SQL Server 2005-Implementation and Maintenance in German, Japanese and French language versions. The English version has been available worldwide since January 30. The company also plans to release multi-language versions of other new-gen exams later this month:
- 70-444 PRO: Optimizing and Maintaining a Database Administration Solution by Using SQL Server 2005 in German, Japanese and French, April 20.
- 70-443 PRO: Designing a Database Server Infrastructure by Using SQL Server 2005 in German and French, available April 21.
- 70-528 TS: .NET Framework 2.0-Web-based Client Development in German and Japanese, April 25.
