Talal -- For more information, you can visit the official www.mous.net site, or use the link above. Ernesto -- Micosoft didn't release that info, but I believe traditionally MOUS exams aren't available through VUE or Prometric. However, check your local training center to make sure. There's some changes going on with the MOUS prgram, so it may be something that will happen (in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it did). |

Ernesto -- Just one more thing, in case you're interested: To find MOUS authorized testing centers, you can go to http://www.mous.net/testing/locator.asp |

I just got my MS Certification in PowerPoint 2000 and Word 2000 (Core)....so will I have to start from scratch with MOUS XP? Seems like there ought to be a "tag on" test, rather than have to pay all over again. This could get expensive. |
4/10/01 - Neal Elliott says: |
I agree with Wanda. They just released Outlook and Project a few months ago!! Now, to stay current we have take these exams over again!! This is absurd, especially since the changes in the exam objectives are VERY minor. |

I filled registration form and... nothing, none information :-( |

I have Office97 MOUS Master and AI. I was thinking that I should really take at least Word & Excel Expert to stay current because I am a Trainer and I don't like training something I haven't done. But now Microsoft have XP?!? Many companies in the UK haven't migrated to Office 2000 yet, and now XP? What are Microsoft playing at? My company also train MCSE's and so far, no one has qualified, but that doesn't stop Microsoft launching Whistler! Am I going crazy or is it Microsoft? |

Enough is enough ... there are many who have taken the 97 and 2000 exams (me being one of them, except Project) and now Micrsoft wants us to take XP! When there are many companies who have not upgraded to 2000. We should at least be given the option of taking the full exam or an update exam! |

What plans has Microsoft to help us in Nigeria migrate in this direction? especially those of us who are already experts in office 2000. We are very willing to move to XP |
8/28/01 - Iluminada Paliwanagan says: |
When Microsoft will create a local version in Pilipino kaya? |
9/11/01 - Bernadette Villeneuve says: |
Well Micro soft has to make everyone happy. Including the hard ware people. You see with every new upgrade ..you need bigger processors and more ram. You need bigger harddrive's.. Get it??? You keep me going I'll keep you going. It's all about money folks. Nothing more nothing less. |
9/28/01 - Joseph Villapaz, MOUS MI (Office 97 & 2000) says: |
You do not have to take the XP exams unless: 1) your company requires it 2) Microsoft will decertify those who haven't upgraded their credentials to XP 3) you want to keep your skills current. For now, the Office 97 and Office 2000 certifications are still valid. However, to be a certified instructor, you have to upgrade your MOUS AI to a MOUS MI. This is for both Office 97 and 2000. Only the Office 95 certifications have been discontinued. Remember that the purpose of recertifying is to show that your skills are current. |
