VSLive! 2009 Event in San Francisco to Include MSDN Developer Conference

CHATSWORTH, Calif., December 10, 2008 -- VSLive!, one of the industry's premier independent software developer conferences announced today that it will be teaming up with the Microsoft MSDN Developer Conference (MDC) in San Francisco to present a comprehensive training experience for attendees. Registered attendees of VSLive! 2009 in San Francisco will have the opportunity to attend the one-day MDC at no additional charge on Monday Feb. 23.

The announcement means VSLive! gains an additional day of solid technical content on Microsoft products and technologies. VSLive! will now offer attendees more than 80 sessions over five days, including optional, deep dive workshops. The combined events will offer developers a week of both broad and deep training in some of the most innovative developer products and technologies in the world. The VSLive! conference takes place at the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero in San Francisco from Feb. 23–27.

VSLive!, formerly VBITS, is an independent developer conference focused on Microsoft technologies. It is produced by 1105 Media, a producer of integrated business-to-business information and media. VSLive! is intended to give professional developers both essential working knowledge about shipping Microsoft products including Microsoft .NET Framework, Visual Studio and Silverlight, as well as a look at the future of Microsoft technologies such as Visual Studio 2010, .NET Framework 4.0., and Windows Multi-Touch 7.0. The conference goal, during a time of great flux in software development techniques and technologies, is to help attendees boost their careers with a solid week of training and networking experiences.

MDC offers a glimpse into the future of the Microsoft Application Platform direct from Microsoft. Attendees can hear Microsoft's vision for Cloud Computing and building applications that seamlessly bridge the gaps between PC, Web, and phone, see the full range of advances in Windows 7, the next major version of the Windows client operating system, as well as the latest developments in .NET, Silverlight, Surface, Parallel Programming, Live Mesh and more.

At VSLive!, speakers will include Jason Zander, general manager of Visual Studio, as well as key Microsoft product team members, well-known industry writers, editors and developers, and perspectives from third-party experts.

"As an independently produced conference, VSLive! has a long and respected history of outstanding, independent content, which is why it draws the best and the brightest in terms of both speakers and attendees," said Henry Allain, president of 1105 Enterprise Computing Group. "VSLive! 2009 in San Francisco promises to continue that tradition, especially now that we are showcasing MDC as part of the event."
