IBM Retiring MQSeries Certs, Updates Storage Certs

9/10/2002 -- IBM announced recently that it will be retiring its Specialist- and Solutions Expert-level MQ Series Integrator certifications on Sept. 30.

The company is recommending that candidates instead pursue its WebSphere versions of both certifications.

The program also announced that it has released two new exams -- Storage Sales Version 2 (exam #279) and TotalStorage, Networking Solutions (exam #272) -- to replace previous versions, now retired. The exams are available at Prometric testing centers in the US and Canada, and at IBM Learning Services facilities worldwide.

More information about IBM's certification program can be found here. - B.N.
