Microsoft Announces ISA Server Exam


11/30/2000 -- Microsoft will begin beta testing an exam for its new Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2000 product in January 2001. This exam for the.NET firewall and caching server technology will be part of the MCSE 2000 track, and may also be encorporated into Microsoft's MCSD and MCSE+I certifications.

ISA Server is both a firewall and Web caching program. Exam 70-227 will cover the following topics:

  • Installation of the product.
  • Migrating from Proxy Server 2.0.
  • Configuration and troubleshooting of its services.
  • Configuring, managing, and troubleshooting policies and rules.
  • Deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting the client computer.
  • Monitoring, managing, and analyzing ISA Server use.
