MCT 2002 Program Launched

10/3/2001 -- Microsoft Certified Trainers (MCTs) who plan to retain their titles into the next year must now meet the program's annual renewal requirements. Microsoft officially kicked off the MCT 2002 program on Oct. 1, but an unexplained delay in the program is keeping MCTs from submitting applications until Oct. 11. When asked about this, Microsoft declined to comment.

Microsoft originally announced in November 2000 that the revamped MCT would have a new set of requirements that would have to be renewed annually. The company also planned to launch the new program Jan. 1, 2001 (see "Details on Continuing Education Credits for MCTs," http://mcpmag.com/news/article.asp?EditorialsID=291). -MCPMag.com
