Red Hat Adds New RHCE Centers

5/14/2001 -- Red Hat announced last week that it will be expanding its network of Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) training and testing centers in the U.S. and Europe.

This month, the company will open five new U.S. locations. Centers have been added in Dallas, Houston, Denver, Los Angeles and Seattle, bringing the total U.S. facilities to 17.

In Europe, Red Hat will launch centers in Dublin, Madrid, Manchester and Rome, adding to its current presence in Berlin, Essen, Guildford, Hamburg, Milan, Munich, Paris and Stuttgart.

The RHCE certification is a high-level Linux certification featuring hands-on testing in a lab environment. Therefore, in order to take the exam, candidates must travel to an official RHCE training and testing center.

In some countries where Red Hat does not have its own facilities, it partners with local vendors to provide RHCE training and services. To find out about local training in your country, contact Red Hat's training department or the local contact for your country. For example, in India (where Red Hat will be expanding its offerings over the next month), contact Shankar Iyer at or call 91 222853452.
