The Print Management console is available in Control Panel, System and Maintenance, Administrative Tools. Right-click Print Management and select Migrate Printers. You'll see the options to export and import printer queues and printer drivers to or from a file. When you specify a file where the printer settings should be exported, the system will add the .printerExport extension to the name. If the export is successful, you'll see a message indicating the operation completed with no errors. You'll also see several entries in the Event Viewer detailing the process.

The second method to export and import printer settings is to use the command-line tool printbrm.exe. This tool is located in %systemroot%\System32\Spool\Tools folder. Type printbrm.exe /? for the syntax. The Tools folder isn't on the path so you'll need to either add it to the path or run the command from the Tools folder.
