     Linux/Unix, Vendor-Neutral

DESCRIPTION:      A standardized, vendor-neutral program to certify levels of individual expertise in Linux. This is the first of three levels of certification offered by Linux Professional Institute.

YEAR ESTABLISHED:      1999

LAST UPGRADE:      Level 1 exams upgraded fall 2002. Previous versions retire Nov. 1 2002.
